Event Description: Welcome to the 2014 Idaho Falls Half Marathon. Runners of all ages and ability levels will enjoy this fast pace course. The half marathon, is 13.1 miles of all down hill starting at the top of Sunnyside and ending at Snake River Landing. There will be fun and excitement for all who attend.
All participants will receive a tech shirt.
Finisher medals will be given to those who complete the course.
Top 3 men/women receive custom designed art print by Art McKracken.
Packet pick up is at Bill's Bike and Run 930 Pier View Drive, Idaho Falls from 3:30 pm-7:30 pm, this Friday, July 25th.
Event starts at 6:27 am! There will be shuttles to the start leaving from the store at 5:34 am. We encourage all runners to use the parking lot behind Bill's for parking. You are more than welcome to drive to the start or be dropped off, but we will not have transportation back up after the race.
Rules of the Road:
We will have the help from the local law enforcement, but the roads will not be shut down and we need to remember to run smart. Make sure you watch for cars. We will have volunteers at intersections to help stop traffic as you pass, but please be mindful so we can all have safe and a fun run.
Please wear your race number on the front of your shirt. It will help our timers out.
We will have aid stations at mile 3 and than every 2 miles after that. Aid stations starting at mile 5 will be provided with water, electrolyte drinks, and PowerBar Fuel.
There will be porta potties at the starting line and finish line, as well as one stationed around mile 8 behind Edwards theatre. There are also community restrooms at Community Park and Tautphaus Park on the course.
Every finisher gets a medal and tech shirt. Awards will be given! We will have great food at the end and pie and ice cream to eat! The race is chip timed by Timekeepers and results will be posted online and at the finish.
