One of the most important goals that Odyssey had when they sat down to work on new braking designs was to make the whole system easier to install (and remove) without sacrificing performance. They also wanted to be sure that every component would be very affordable too. The Ghost Pad addresses the hassles of brake pad installation by eliminating the traditional dome shaped washers used for toe-in. The pad improves stiffness by building the toe-in into the pad shape and utilizing a solid extruded aluminum frame at its core. The Ghost Pad’s assembly consists of simply lining it up with the rim and tightening down an M6 female bolt. Comes stock on the Springfield brake. The Slim by Four is a BMX-specific brake pad with a symmetrical shape designed for both forwards and backwards braking. A custom inner frame helps to stiffen the pad and prevents excessive braking power from being lost to flex. The THUNDERBOLT is the new and improved descendant of the Twombolt. It is still one of the most technically advanced crank designs on the market. Due to continued advancements in Odyssey's legendary 41-Thermal processing and heat-treatment system, fatigue life has been increased by a massive margin. Their Socket Drive interface system has been in use on their Flatware cranks since their inception, and it was only a matter of time before the system was adapted into their Thunderbolt cranks. The time has come. In a nutshell, the Socket Drive system is a 9 sided interface which eliminates the need for a sprocket bolt. The sprocket itself is machined so there is no need for a sprocket insert of any kind. The two work great together. Please note, these cranks will not work without a corresponding Socket Drive sprocket.
